Blue Ice - a Curvy Quilt with Blue to White Ombre
"Blue Ice" is a quilt featuring blue to white ombre. Each section features 4 different fabrics made with quilting cottons including Batiks. Starting with darker blues up top, the quilt lightens down to white at the bottom.
This quilt is generously sized at 65 inches X 71 inches. With that size, it makes a great throw, wall hanging, or baby quilt for floor time.
"Blue Ice" is made with 100% quilting cotton fabrics and pieced with 100% cotton thread. The batting is 80% cotton and 20% polyester which adds a little more loft and warmth than 100% cotton batting. The quilting is done with strong 100% polyester thread. I quilted this beauty on my longarm machine with carefully placed repeating spiral patterns. Each spiral in this quilt is about 1/2 inch apart. I love this pattern and this is the second quilt I've done with it. The first is "Rainbow Falls" also available in my shop.
